When the Smarty team came to Northpeak, they had a concept and a prototype; but they weren’t sure if the product could live up to its promise in a fiercely competitive market.

They also needed help in developing and launching the product and acquiring users. The job required expertise in user research, UX/UI design, software development, and user acquisition.

The biggest challenge we faced was to make the software true to its promise of saving time while increasing productivity. The journey was tedious. The details were exhaustive. But for our growth marketing agency, it wasn’t the first time.

The Client

Calendars and scheduling tools are supposed to help busy professionals increase productivity and save time to spend on what matters—work, family, friends, and their own health and well being. However, even with huge advancements in AI and technology, most of the productivity tools available on the market lack the intuitiveness and complicate things instead of simplifying them.

Smarty, a new scheduling and productivity software, saw that as an opportunity. They wanted to create a frictionless experience for professionals and entrepreneurs and position their software based on its ease of use. They had already developed a prototype and wanted to fine tune it, so that Smarty could win rapid adoption by making life easier and more productive for busy professionals.

Northpeak teamed up with Smarty to create a customized growth plan which included user research, UI/UX design, software development, and user acquisition & retention. The biggest challenge we faced was to make the software true to its promise of saving time while increasing productivity. The competition was intense, so we decided to reimagine how we think about time and set out to design the most instinctive user experience that considered all the nuances of scheduling and managing a busy calendar.
